Complete bare metal refinish for your classic mustang or other vintage car

What is included: LABOR                               

Complete disassembly of the body,  less drive train and suspension.  Removal of old paint though chemical strip or plastic medial blasting.  We then repair all hinges and door window mechanisms. We then commence a complete bare metal refinish using the Sikens  paint system. This service includes the following:

1. Metal acid wash all bare metal surfaces to remove any residual surface rust or impurities and also to provide adhesion promotion to follow on products
2. Prime with a self etching, or direct to metal epoxy primer then baking the primer at 140@ for 30 minutes ensuring the best possible subsurface for follow on topcoats.                                                  
3. Prime with Sikens Colorbuild 3 component urethane high build primer, this procedure is performed to provide a stable surface to block sand
4. Block sand body shell and all parts to a wave free finish
5. Re Prime with Sikens Colorbuild 3 component urethane high build primer ,  then Block sand a second time for superior wave free surface
6. Seal with  Sikens  premier sealer, this provides a barrier between the substrates and the final finish
7. Finally we apply a show quality finish with using Sikens single stage or base coat/clear coat  systems. The final paint is baked and ready for follow on detailing immediately
8. Color sand and buff to original OEM Finnish
9. Optionally we offer color sand and buff to a mirror show car finish, inquire

After all of the body has been painted we begin reassembly of body and trim, using either new trim, bumpers, emblems, ect, or the original parts detailed to look their best.  What we end up with is a professionally restored body including all the door and trunk jams painted to your choice of color, in fact it is almost impossible to even tell if a color change occurred because the paintwork is so complete. A car fresh out of Vintage body restoration will look right at home at any local car show!!

What is not included:

1. Any mechanical, electrical, or interior work
2. No parts, parts are extra and may be as little as 3-6 hundred or as much as several thousand
3. Bodywork in excess of 40 hours, this could include rust repairs, frame straightening major panel replacement ect.
4. The material refinishing system you choose, ask a sales rep for the differences.

Most of our customers getting this service also opt for some additional restoration work such as full or partial interior restoration, an engine rebuild, or detail, dual exhaust, upgraded wheels and tires ect. Please ask a sales rep for details.
