Codename:California gets underway with the installation of a BBK Cold Air Intake Kit. This simple power adder not only cleans up the look of the engine bay of our 2011 Mustang, but makes a marked improvement to the engine note while on throttle. Installation is a snap with no drilling or other modifications neccesary and will take less than two hours to get the vehicle back in your hands to enjoy the added pep. Dyno results aren't yet in for our installation, but the seat of the pants show better throttle response and a bit more torque. (Look for hard numbers soon) Below you'll find a step-by-step documentation of our installation.
6: Detach air box from lower inlet tube on the side of the radiator as you lift the box out to remove. Detach Mass Air Meter wire harness from side of air box by slightly pulling on the harness at each barbed mounting pin. Remove the two rubber grommets from the bottom of the air box.
7: Remove the stock air inlet tube on the side of the radiator by pulling up and towards the engine.
8: Remove the two bolts that retain the driver side radiator mount. Remove the mount.
you then pushing in on black tab while pulling plug off sensor. Remove inlet tube.

with the two supplied 4mm buttonhead screws. The meter will only mount the correct way.

shield then onto the throttle body. Connect sound tube to 1 ½” tube on bottom of inlet tube.
